Technical feasibility study of the Improvement of quality and productivity in Boilermaking through data processing on welding parameters for manufacturers of pressure vessels and wind towers (MECASOL).
The project, with completion in March 2019, is analyzing the feasibility of applying massive data processing technologies to the manufacture of high added value products (such as pressure vessels and wind towers), evaluating the process signals obtained from new MIG/MAG welding technologies.
This project will also be developed in case studies for the improvement of the productivity of the manufacturers, making use of the information generated in real time during the welding process.

The overall objective is to improve the competitiveness of companies in line with the RIS3 smart specialization policies for Asturias.
